OPT is a work authorization document you could apply for at the end of each level of an academic degree in the United States.
As international students, OPT could have heavy implications for us as international students. From getting or keeping a job, to finances, and even future immigration like permanent residence. A denial could be very devastating.
There are things that could lead to the denial of an OPT application. I call them the “OPT Rules.” In this video, I break down these rules and describe ways to avoid them.
