I still remember it like yesterday. Starting nursing school in 2009 a few days after arriving in the US from Nigeria, having hopes and dreams, and being completely confused about what it meant to be an international student. Let alone how it plays out for future career plans and immigration was just the cherry on top.⁠

You’ve probably heard it or even believe that nursing is the hot-shot profession and ‘immigration meal ticket.’ Except that there are 1,001 questions that oversimplification does not answer.⁠

Come hang out with me. Bring dinner, snacks, tea, wine, etc. Come with questions about nursing school, NCLEX, job hunting, OPT, H1B, green card, etc. Chances are, I have experienced what you’re experiencing or had variations of the questions you currently have.
